About Audify
What is Audify Music Player?
Music Player - Audify Player ("Audify") is a free offline music, MP3 and video player for Android and iPhone by Audify Tech Private Limited. It plays files already stored on your device — with a 10-band equalizer, lyrics, a ringtone cutter, radio and video playback. 100M+ downloads and a 4.5★ rating on Google Play.
Is Audify free?
Yes. Every feature is free, supported by ads. An optional Premium subscription (monthly, yearly, or a one-time Pro Lifetime purchase) removes ads entirely — see ads & Premium.
Is Audify safe?
Yes. Audify is distributed only through Google Play and the App Store, scanned by Google Play Protect, published by Audify Tech Private Limited since 2018, and requires no account. Full details — including ads, permissions and how to spot fake APKs — on the Safety page.
Does Audify work offline?
Yes. Audify plays the music stored on your device, fully offline — no streaming, no account. Internet is only used for optional extras: lyrics, Chromecast, Google Drive backup and ads in the free version.
Which audio and video formats does Audify support?
Audio: MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, AC3, WMA, M4A, OGG, OPUS, AIFF, MIDI and more. Video: MP4, MKV, WEBM, MOV, 3GP, AVI, WMV.
How many languages does Audify support — and how do I change the language?
Audify is available in 60+ languages, including English, Hindi, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Arabic, Portuguese, Indonesian and Turkish. The app follows your device language automatically, so there's no separate language setting inside the app.
Does Audify have radio?
Yes — free internet radio with 50,000+ live stations, searchable by country, language and genre, with favorites and personalized picks. Streaming uses internet; your local library still plays fully offline. Details on the Radio page.
Does Audify work with Android Auto?
Yes — Audify works with Android Auto and voice assistants on Android. On iPhone, the app supports CarPlay with Drive mode.
Sound & features
How do I use the equalizer?
Open the playing screen and tap the equalizer icon. You get a 10-band EQ with bass boost, virtualizer and reverb — or switch to your phone's system equalizer if you prefer. Details on the Features page.
How do I make a ringtone from a song?
Open the song's 3-dot menu and choose the ringtone cutter. Drag the start and end markers to the section you want, save, and Audify sets it as your ringtone — no separate app needed.
How does the sleep timer work?
Set the sleep timer and Audify pauses playback after that time. The timer applies to the current session only — set it each night you want it, and it won't unexpectedly cut off your music the next day.
How do I change the theme — can I use my own photo?
Go to Settings → Themes and choose from the Nature or Solid sets. Yes — pick "Custom theme" to use any photo from your gallery as the player background.
Can I change a song's album art or fix its tags?
Yes. Change album art from the song's playing window, and let the built-in AI tag editor fix titles, artists and other metadata automatically.
Playlists & library
How do I add songs to a playlist?
Tap a song's 3-dot menu and choose "Add to playlist". To add many songs at once, long-press to select them, then use the add-to-playlist option at the top.
How do I remove a song from a playlist — or delete a playlist?
In the playlist, open the song's 3-dot menu and choose "Remove from playlist". To delete a whole playlist, long-press it and confirm. Built-in playlists (Most Played, Recently Played, Recently Added) can't be deleted.
How do I delete songs from my phone?
Long-press to select one or more songs and tap the delete icon (also available in each song's 3-dot menu). Warning: this permanently deletes the files from your phone, not just from Audify.
How do I play a specific group of songs?
Long-press the first song, keep selecting the others, then tap play at the top. You can also build an order on the fly with "Add to Queue" from any song's menu.
Ads, Premium & support
Why does my music stop when I switch apps or the screen turns off?
Some phones aggressively close background apps to save battery. Audify plays through a proper background service, but Android may still restrict it: open Audify's Settings → Background Playback and give the permission — your phone's battery-optimization list opens; find Audify and turn optimization off. Music then keeps playing when you switch apps or lock the screen.
I paid for Premium but still see ads — what do I do?
Premium is linked to your Google Play account, so it restores automatically on any device signed in with the same Google account that made the purchase. If ads still show, open the subscription screen and tap Subscribe — Google Play recognizes an existing purchase and reactivates it without charging you again. Still seeing ads? Email feedback@audifyplayer.com and the team will sort it out.
How do I move my music, playlists and Premium to a new phone?
Fastest way: on both phones open More → Set up new device — it transfers your songs, playlists, ringtones and settings directly, phone-to-phone (update both to the latest version first). Alternatively, More → Backup and Restore saves your playlists, lyrics and settings to your own Google Drive so you can restore them anywhere. Premium follows automatically with your Google account.
My playlists disappeared — can I get them back?
First check they aren't just hidden: Settings → Hidden Items can unhide playlists. If you keep a Google Drive backup (More → Backup and Restore), tap Restore to bring playlists back — and we recommend backing up regularly. If playlists vanished without explanation, email feedback@audifyplayer.com so the team can investigate.
Why are some of my songs or folders missing from the library?
Three usual causes. Short files can be filtered out — the scan can exclude clips under 30/60/90 seconds, adjustable in More → Scan Media. A folder may be hidden — check Settings → Hidden Items → Hidden Folders and unhide it. And downloads made inside streaming apps (Spotify, YouTube Music) are protected files no other player can see. After changing anything, run Scan Media again.
Can Audify download or stream music?
No — Audify is an offline player for music you already own. It plays files stored on your phone and doesn't stream or download songs, which is exactly why it needs no account and works without internet. The connection is only used for extras: lyrics, internet radio and Chromecast.
How do I control playback from the lock screen, notification or my headphones?
Controls appear automatically in the notification and on the lock screen — previous, play/pause, next and favorite — and Bluetooth headphone or car buttons work through the same system controls. Settings has a "Show album art on lock screen" toggle, and there are two home-screen widgets (a large 4×4 and a bar-style one) with playback and shuffle.
How do I change the order my songs play in?
Tap Sort by in the library: songs can be sorted by name, date added ("Recently added"), artist, album, duration or size, ascending or descending — your choice is remembered. Inside a playlist or the playing queue, you can also drag songs into exactly the order you want.
Why don't lyrics appear for some songs?
Getting lyrics for a song needs a brief internet connection the first time — after that they're saved on your device and show offline. If a song has none (or the wrong ones), use Find Correct Lyrics to search the web and paste them in; you can also edit lyrics, change the font size, and sync them to follow playback.
Does Audify play videos — and why won't one play?
Yes — Audify has a Videos tab that plays files stored on your phone: MP4, MKV, WEBM, MOV, 3GP, AVI, WMV and more, with Chromecast support. If a video is missing from the tab, run More → Scan Media — and check the "Ignore videos less than" filter there, which can hide very short clips. Videos inside streaming apps are protected files no other player can open.
Why do I see duplicate songs, and how do I remove them?
Duplicates almost always mean the file really exists twice on your phone — commonly after copying music over again or restoring from a computer. Audify shows your storage as it is, so the fix is deleting the extra file: open the duplicate's 3-dot menu → Delete (this removes the file from the phone), or hide it via Hidden Items if you'd rather keep it.
Why does Audify show ads — and how do I remove them?
Ads fund the free version — they're why every feature stays free for 100M+ users. Upgrade to the Premium subscription (monthly, yearly, or a one-time Pro Lifetime purchase) to remove ads entirely.
How do I report a bad ad, a bug, or request a feature?
Email feedback@audifyplayer.com. For ads, include a screenshot so we can identify and block the creative — more on the Safety page. We also respond to reviews on Google Play and the App Store.
Where can I see what's new in each update?
The "What's new" section of our Google Play listing and App Store page carries the changelog for every release. Recent releases added Chromecast casting, more languages and smoother shuffle.
