What audio formats does Audify support?

Short answer: Audify plays every common audio format on Android. MP3, AAC, M4A, FLAC, WAV, OGG and Opus play natively; WMA and APE work if your device’s built-in decoder supports them. It does not play DSD or MIDI.

Lossless & hi-res

If you keep high-quality music, FLAC and WAV give you full lossless playback with no re-encoding. FLAC is the practical choice — lossless quality at roughly half the file size of WAV. DSD is the only common lossless format Audify can’t play.

Does Audify play FLAC files?

Yes. Audify decodes FLAC natively, so lossless FLAC libraries play with full quality and no conversion.

Can Audify play lossless or hi-res audio?

Yes. FLAC and WAV are lossless and fully supported. Audify does not decode DSD (.dsf/.dff), which is a separate niche format.

Does Audify play DSD or MIDI files?

No. DSD and MIDI are not supported. Nearly every other common audio format — MP3, AAC, M4A, FLAC, WAV, OGG and Opus — plays natively.
