How to back up your music and playlists to Google Drive
Short answer: open Audify’s Backup and Restore, connect your Google Drive, and back up songs, playlists, lyrics, videos and settings to your own account. Restore them anytime, on any device.
How to back up in 5 steps
- 1. Open Backup and Restore. Find Backup and Restore in Audify’s menu or settings.
- 2. Connect your Google Drive. Sign in to the Google account whose Drive you want to use — the backup goes to your own storage, not to Audify.
- 3. Choose what to back up. Select songs, playlists, lyrics, videos and app settings, depending on what you want to keep safe.
- 4. Run the backup. Start it and let it finish; larger music libraries take longer and use your Drive space.
- 5. Restore on another device. Install Audify on the new phone, open Backup and Restore, sign in to the same Drive, and choose Restore.
Backup vs phone-to-phone transfer
Two ways to keep your library safe, and they complement each other. Google Drive backup is best for peace of mind and restoring later — it lives in the cloud, on your own account.
The direct phone-to-phone transfer is best when both phones are with you and you want to move everything quickly with no internet. Your files are never uploaded to Audify — only to your Drive, and only if you choose to.
Common questions
What gets backed up?
Songs, playlists, lyrics, videos and app settings, depending on what you select. Restoring brings them back exactly as they were.
Does Audify upload my music to its own servers?
No. The backup goes to your own Google Drive account, and only if you set it up. Audify is a local player and does not take copies of your files.
How do I restore my backup?
Install Audify, open Backup and Restore, sign in to the same Google Drive you backed up with, and choose Restore.
