How to make a playlist on Android (offline)

Short answer: in a local music player like Audify, tap a song’s 3-dot menu, choose Add to playlist, then New playlist and name it. To add many songs at once, long-press to multi-select. Playlists play fully offline.

Create a playlist in 5 steps

1. 1. Open your music library. Launch a local player that reads the songs on your phone, such as Audify.
2. 2. Tap a song’s 3-dot menu. Find a track you want, open its menu and choose Add to playlist.
3. 3. Create and name a new playlist. Pick New playlist, give it a name like “Gym” or “Road trip”, and save.
4. 4. Add many songs at once. Long-press any song to enter selection mode, tick several, then use Add to playlist at the top to add them together.
5. 5. Reorder or queue them. Drag songs to set the order, or use Add to Queue to build a one-off running order without saving a playlist.

Smart playlists and keeping them safe
