Paid for Premium but still seeing ads

Short answer: Premium belongs to the Google account that bought it, and it restores by itself. Check the phone is signed in to that account, open the Premium screen and tap Subscribe — Google Play recognises the purchase you already own and reactivates it without charging you again.

Bring Premium backWhy there's no Restore button

Bring Premium back in four checks

  1. 1. Check which Google account the phone is using. Premium follows the account that paid, not the phone. If the device was reset, or someone signed in with a second account, that is almost always the reason the ads returned.
  2. 2. Open the Premium screen and tap Subscribe. This sounds wrong, and it is the actual fix. Google Play checks what that account already owns before it charges anything, sees the existing purchase, and reactivates it. You will not be billed twice.
  3. 3. If a payment was pending, confirm it. A payment awaiting confirmation from your bank leaves the account in a half-state. Once it clears, Premium activates on its own.
  4. 4. Still seeing ads? Send us the order ID. If the account is right and reactivating changed nothing, this is on our side rather than yours. Send the Google Play order ID to feedback@audifyplayer.com and we will fix the entitlement directly.

Why there is no "Restore purchase" button

Plenty of apps have one, so its absence looks like the feature is missing. It is not: on Android, restoring is handled by Google Play itself. The store already knows what your account owns, which is why re-opening the subscribe screen is enough to bring Premium back.

We would rather say that plainly than have you hunt through Settings for a button that was never there. If you moved to a new phone, the same rule applies — sign in with the account that bought Premium and it comes with you. Playlists and song files are a separate matter, covered in transferring music to a new phone.

Common questions

Will tapping Subscribe charge me a second time?

No. Google Play checks what your account already owns before taking payment, finds the purchase, and reactivates it instead of billing you.

I bought Pro Lifetime years ago and the ads came back.

Lifetime purchases should never expire, so if reactivating on the right account does not clear the ads, something is wrong on our end. Send the order ID to feedback@audifyplayer.com and we will restore it manually.

Does Premium move to a new phone?

Yes. It is attached to your Google account, so signing in on the new phone with the account that paid brings it across. See the FAQ for the short version.

Does this apply to the iPhone app?

Partly. On iPhone the subscription is monthly or yearly and restores through your Apple ID rather than Google Play; the account rule is the same, the store is different.
